NSW: Man points replica gun during road rage incident

A 21-year-old man has allegedly threatened a driver with a replica gun during a road
rage incident in Sydney's west.

A police spokesman says the Punchbowl man is accused of pointing the replica gun at
the driver of a Ford utility on the M4 about 3.15pm (AEDT) yesterday.

Police allege the man, who was driving a Nissan 180SX, overtook the other car before
braking heavily, causing the Ford utility to do the same to avoid a collision.

The spokesman says a short distance away both cars were travelling side by side and
the man allegedly pointed the replica gun at the Ford driver.

He was later arrested in his western Sydney home and charged with intent to commit
an indictable offence, possess/use prohibited weapon without a permit and common assault.

He's been granted conditional bail and will appear in Burwood Local Court on March the 7th.
