SUNY, BELGIAN UNIVERSITY SIGN PACT.(Local)

In the first intercontinental deal to result from this week's trip by an Albany delegation to Belgium, the Research Foundation of the State University of New York and the research and development division of the University of Ghent on Monday signed a cooperative agreement.

It calls for joint research, an exchange of faculty members and mutual promotion of research abilities, according to John Mather, a former director of SUNY's business development service who organized the trip.

The University of Ghent is involved in projects connected with the pending consolidation of European markets, planned for 1992. …
